The Story Behind The Model

Understanding the Initiative

Suposhit Bharat was created to address a critical nutrition challenge through a practical, community-driven and sustainable intervention.

01

The Challenge

  • Aligarh district faced a severe malnutrition crisis with children being identified as Severely Acute Malnourished (SAM).
  • Traditional government programs were struggling with low recovery rates, limited community engagement, and inadequate nutrition support.
  • Families needed immediate, culturally-appropriate intervention to protect these vulnerable children.
02

The Response

  • The District Administration launched “Suposhit Aligarh” under "Suposhit Bharat" — an innovative public-private partnership model.
  • By mobilizing CSR partners and ‘Poshan Warriors’ , the initiative trained communities and delivered customized Poshan Millet Kits.
  • A structured, result-oriented, feedback-led system ensured timely action, accountability and long-term sustainability — making the model both practical and replicable.

From identifying the challenge to creating measurable action, Suposhit Aligarh brings government, communities, CSR partners and local resources together around one shared goal: healthier children and stronger communities.
